Walking For Justice and Equality - First event and why?
February 26, 2014
On Monday 12 May 2014 a small band of fathers will be walking from the Royal Courts of Justice to Canterbury Cathedral.
The walk is scheduled to last 5 days and each day we will walk approximatley 15 miles stopping off at a few family courts and Cafcass offices along the way to register our peaceful protest.
This walk is the first of several planned as we aim to highlight the current injustices that occur, and continue to occur in the 'Family Law' circus in the UK. We are campaigning for equality in the courts and family law system, punishment for those who abuse children by manipulating and alienating them, and for greater transparency with those who work in the Family court arena, including Judges, solicitors, barristers, CAFCASS, contact centes and social workers.
Education is the key we feel, as too often people think 'it wouldn't happen to me' or 'it doesnt affect me' but if you have a family or relative then the chances are it will or already has.
Unless, as parents and families we unite, then the secrecy, inequality and misery for thousands of children and families will continue.
